SAN CLEMENTE, CA. – February 9, 2023 — Aura Risk Management & Insurance Services (Aura), a Member of The Liberty Company Network of Insurance Brokers, is proud to announce that Eric Morrison has joined the company as Senior Vice President.
In his role, Morrison will be leading the charge of developing and innovating Aura’s new Cannabis Program, as well as other specialized, niche programs which fit Aura’s appetite. In addition, as Senior Vice President, he will be evaluating, quantifying, and qualifying complex risk portfolios, supplying workable and mutually beneficial marketing and underwriting solutions for Aura’s producers, clients, and carrier partners.
Morrison began his career in 1998 in underwriting employee benefits, until moving to the property & casualty space in 2003. It was then, where under the guidance of his father, who successfully formed and ran an insurance company, agency, and MGU for more than 30 years, Morrison gained 20 years of experience in the niche property & casualty / workers’ compensation arena. Throughout his career, Morrison has primarily focused on managing and producing underwriting profits in specialized, hard-to-place property & casualty, workers’ compensation, and excess markets.
